We've added several dog breeds: English Bulldog, Beagle, Dalmatian, and Samoyed. We've also tried to advertise a bit with a decent result. Traffic was generated but few people decided to join and create profiles for their pets. We're a bit dissapointed but we'll continue to work hard to get this site going. On the SEO side, we've added keywords and created a sitemap. This should help us get found in the search engines.

Stats
Seems that many people are discouraged by the fact that we are a new website, and decided not to join simply because there aren't that many users. That's why we've removed the stats. You will still get the free e-book don't worry ;)
We went LIVE!
Today we've decided to remove password protection. Due to the removal the page actually went live on the web. This means the web site is actually open to the public, even thought it is not finished. This decision, seemingly irrational, was mainly motivated by the fact that Google would not open an Adsense account for us if the page was password protected.
Several breeds were added and what's more important, due to the fact that many of us have mixed-breed pets, both cats and dogs categories got non-pedigree listings: mixed-breed. A pet is a pet is a pet. We don't want anyone to be left out!
More issues resolved - store added
Today we've resolved remaining issues with the announcement section. There was a problem with the deletion process that caused the whole service to crash. The problem was quickly fixed. We're also adding a store with preselected items - powered by Amazon.com. We figure we know a thing or two about pets, so why not make it easier on you and select the products that catch our attention, instead of having you browse through thousands of pages of merchandise. We've narrowed it down a bit for you. Hope you like it.
New material and CMS issues
Over the weekend more cat breeds have been added. We're working on the gallery. The issue with the pictures not correctly aligning has been fixed but to the detriment of the thumbnail visibility. They are now cropped and that does not look as good. Some more work needs to be done. Comment deletion still has a bug. The owners of the company had an informal business meeting on Saturday, to discuss the progress of this website's development. It has been concurred that, even though it is lagging behind the original business plan, the progress is steady and will continue without hiring additional programmers (two of whom are actually available, starting immediately). We will continue to steadily add material and work out remaining issues with the CMS at the current pace.
